JPM Creates Head of Cryptoassets Role

JP Morgan has reportedly created a new position at the bank, that of head of cryptoassets strategy, and named Oliver Harris, previously head of the bank’s in-residence programme for fintech startups, to the role.
Harris will operate as part of JPM’s blockchain project, headed by Umar Farooq and investigate cryptocurrency initiatives that can be taken to market. He will also lead the execution of the project, working closely with Christine Moy, programme lead for the bank’s Blockchain Centre of Excellence.
